Where are the customer service centres located?

The council has 14 customer service centres located conveniently throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The interactive find your nearest customer service centre map allows you to browse details about each of our centres, including opening hours and facilities, or search for your nearest centre by post code.

What are the opening times?

All customer service centres other than those in Pocklington, Brough and Market Weighton, are open from 9am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am - 4.30pm on a Friday.

Please note that all centres offer payment facilities, however these will close 30 minutes before the centre closing time. Alternatively, we offer a variety of ways for you to make payments to the council, including 24 hour facilities. Please contact customer services for details on (01482) 393939.

What can I do at customer service centres?

All centres provide:

  • advice, information and access to all council services
  • help with application forms
  • payment facilities
  • information about a range of partner organisations
  • video link access to selected partners

Additionally, our integrated centres in Pocklington, Brough and Market Weighton also provide a complete library service, including free internet access. See the libraries page for further information on these services.

What facilities are available?

All centres have trained customer service advisors available to provide information help and assistance relating to all council services. Additionally, they can connect you to a selected range of partners for independent specialist advice using our citizenlink video conferencing service.

All centres have payment facilities, private interview rooms available, and access to translation services on request.

Our integrated centres in Pocklington, Brough and Market Weighton also offer a complete library service.

Can I pay council bills in customer service centres?

Yes, you can pay all your council bills and invoices and some utility bills in any customer service centre. You can also make payments 24 hours a day by clicking on the 'Do' button at the top of the page and accessing the pay section of the website.

The majority of centres have a manned payment counter, with the exception of Brough, Market Weighton and Howden, which have payment machines installed for your convenience.

Please note that all centres offer payment facilities, however these will close 30 minutes before the centre closing time.
