Can I view and apply for council job vacancies online?

Yes, all our current vacancies are displayed on the East Riding Recruiter website. Online applications are our preferred method.

How will I know if you have received my application?

Once you register on the East Riding Recruiter website you will have your own home page from which you can see the current status of all applications you make. 

I want to apply online - can I save this form and return to it at a later date?

Yes, please follow on screen instructions when filling out your online application.

When will I hear if I have been offered an interview?

Wherever possible, interview dates are given in the advert text and you should hear by email or letter if you have been invited to interview around 1-2 weeks prior to the interview date. If you have not been shortlisted for interview you will be informed of this as well.

Does the council run apprenticeship schemes?

Yes, when the vacancies for apprentices arise they are advertised on the East Riding Recruiter website (select 'Trainee Posts/Apprenticeships' from the drop down menu):

Can I send you a copy of my CV instead of completing your application form?

Unfortunately the council is unable to accept curriculum vitae - a full application form must be completed to allow a fair and consistent selection process.

Does the council hold recruitment pools of staff seeking employment in a particular service area?
