What is the World War 1 Centenary Fund?

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has established a Fund to support communities across the East Riding which are planning to hold commemorative events up to, and around, the centenary of the end of the First World War on 11 th November 2018.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council World War 1 Centenary Fund is available to help with direct costs of related activity (e.g. staging an exhibition or event) or with associated costs (e.g. arranging community transport to and from events for older residents or children).  

Who can apply for funding?

Eligible applicants include Parish and Town Councils and other appropriate groups and organisations. 

Applicants can apply for up to £500 per project.

Applications will be assessed and awarded on a rolling basis and the final application deadline is 12 October (midnight).
