There are a range of advertising opportunities available with the council, including outdoor advertising, publications and sponsorship. Further information about these opportunities are below.
The Grapevine is the council’s employee magazine and main internal communication tool. Around 3,000 hardcopies are printed monthly and can also be viewed online 24/7. The magazine is available to all our 14,000 employees. The Grapevine features staff news, information, events, interviews, team work and the Shop & Save scheme - the council’s employee discount scheme.
Shop & Save is featured as part of The Grapevine, and is the council’s employee discount scheme and is open to current employees and foster carers. The scheme is free to join and automatically entitles members to a 25 word text-only listing in Grapevine; all we ask is that you offer an exclusive discount or incentive. The scheme is available online 24/7 via our staff intranet and is open to all 14,000 employees.
The opportunity to upgrade your listing is available with a range of pricing options (see the table below) allowing you to enhance your listing with eye-catching graphics in a larger advertising space to improve your presence. Discounts are also available for multiple bookings.
Adverts can be taken across different editions and do not need to be consecutive ones. Prices are for a single insertion.

This is a comprehensive guide to local activities and ideas for all of the family to take part in and enjoy the East Yorkshire countryside. It also includes a full programme of free guided walks for all ages and abilities aimed at anyone who has an interest in walking or wants to slowly introduce exercise into their daily routine - including rehabilitation from illness, injury or to get fit.
The guide also includes exciting activities for every month of the year starting in January through to December. It has a map of the area pin-pointing local places of interest, nature reserves, walks, picnic sites and all the tourist information centres.
We produce 20,000 copies every January and these are distributed to all tourist information centres, libraries and various other outlets. We also have an extensive mailing list of people who request this every year.

Countryside Events Walking for Health Guide 2016 (pdf 9mb opens in new window)
The directory is a guide aimed at assisting elderly people faced with choosing the right kind of care and understanding the options available to them. It is a full-colour, A4 directory, published in May and October each year. 3,000 copies are delivered to hospitals, care homes, adult care services, libraries and all customer service centres throughout the area.

School’s Out is a comprehensive guide for parents or carers of children between the ages of 4 and 13 and is mailed directly to 20,000 homes. The guide plays an essential part in many families’ summer holiday planning.
This guide showcases East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s activities available throughout the summer holidays.
The guide is delivered at the beginning of July and is also available to pick up in customer service centres, libraries, children’s centres and schools. It can also be viewed online.

The highlight for Bridlington Spa summer season is Showtime! An all-singing, all-dancing celebration of summer and the seaside.
A comprehensive entertainment programme is produced showcasing the summer season show at Bridlington Spa.
1000s of holidaymakers, residents and day visitors descend on Bridlington Spa throughout the summer to enjoy the fabulous daily show which runs from mid-July to early September.

The annual pantomime at Bridlington Spa runs from early December to early January and welcomes over 10,000 pantomime goers through the doors. This year’s performance of Sleeping Beauty is sure to enchant and entertain children and families from across the region. Already ticket sales are booming.
The official programme for the pantomime is available to buy at every performance. For just £1 theatregoers can enjoy reading about the cast, entering competitions and seeing what local business have to offer. Last year’s programme was a total sell out!

The Celebration Guide provides general guidance on how to plan a celebration in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It contains a vast array of information about civil ceremonies/partnerships, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies. It also includes the nationality checking service and civil funeral service information. The guide contains the contact details for all the venues licensed to perform civil ceremonies.
This A4, full-colour brochure is produced every two years and is given to every couple who register a wedding/civil partnership at any of our registration offices. It is also given out at all of the wedding fayres in the East Riding making this the ideal publication to promote your wedding services.

Your East Riding is a quarterly magazine delivered to all households across the East Riding (approximately 150,000). Each edition carries articles about the services the council provides. It features localised news for the areas of Beverley, Bridlington and Driffield, Goole and Howdenshire, Haltemprice and Hunsley, Holderness, Market Weighton and Pocklington.

The Beverley Festival of Christmas is a well-established one-day event on the second Sunday in December and is arguably the largest one-day event of its kind in Yorkshire. It attracts crowds of more than 50,000 people keen to experience a traditional Christmas festival.
The visitors' guide is a useful, informative guide which includes, maps, stall list, picture gallery testimonials, shops, restaurants, cafés, accommodation and much more.

Make Time for Winter contains essential information to keep you safe and warm when the weather turns bad. It provides some helpful advice on things you can do to minimise inconvenience by preparing a winter plan in advance of bad weather. It also includes tips to allow you to get out and about during bad weather and how to safely clear snow from footpaths. There is also a map showing which roads are treated in bad weather.
The guide is essentially for elderly and vulnerable adults but is also available to pick up from various outlets in the East Riding and continues to be a well-read valued publication by plenty of residents. It is distributed through a number of different channels including care providers, town and parish councils, community hospitals and health centres. There are 10,000 copies printed and distributed.

The electronic display screens show forthcoming bus departure times and are updated constantly. The screens run 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. They are the main source of information for all bus commuters.
Each screen has the capability to run a text message of up to 100 characters, on a scrolling basis as the bottom listing. A variety of messages can be displayed on separate screens.
Costs vary depending on location and number of commuters.

There are three A3 advertising display boards at Beverley bus station and three A1 boards at Bridlington bus station. All these are available to advertise within. You can target 13,500 public transport users every week at Bridlington and 40,000 at Beverley.

Promote your business by attracting the attention of visitors, businesses and residents travelling in and out of your area. Many of the East Riding’s roundabouts have a traffic flow of in excess of 10,000 vehicles per day – based on one person per vehicle, that’s the potential to target 3.65 million people per year!
Annual sponsorship is available from £4,000 + VAT depending on traffic flow. This includes the cost of planning permission and signage manufacture and installation. Discounts are offered for bookings of more than one year and also for multiple roundabout bookings.
