Collections comprise of the brown bin for food waste, cardboard and garden waste; the blue recycling bin for paper, cans and plastic bottles, and the green bin for rubbish which cannot be placed into the brown or blue bins.
Most of that household waste, about 80 per cent of it, can be recycled.
