Additional useful information
Bins should be put out for collection by 7am on the morning of collection and taken back in afterwards on the same day. If you live on a farm or have a private ten foot, you should present your bin at the nearest point to the public road. Help is available for those who have difficulty wheeling out their bins.

The council provides a text message reminder service for both the blue bins and brown bins. You need to subscribe to these services separately using the simple instructions below. You will then receive a text message the evening before your bin is collected, reminding you to put out your bin. The only cost for this service is the initial text message to us.
Blue bin
Subscribing
Please text the word BLUE, followed by the two numbers shown at the top left corner of the blue bin calendar (which was posted out to you w/c 12th December 2011), to 07786 200401. This code relates to the calendar number, for example residents on calendar 1 need to text 'blue01'.
Don't know your two numbers? You can find them by viewing the online bin collection calendar. Simply type in your postcode, then click on one of the collection dates next to a bin icon to open up a pdf. You will find your code in the top corner.
Please note: there should be no space in between the word and the numbers. For example, 'blue06' or 'blue20'.
Unsubscribing
To cancel the service text STOP to 07786 200401 after receiving a reminder text.
Brown bin

Please text the word BROWN, followed by the code shown at the top left corner of the brown bin calendar, (which was posted out to you w/c 12th December 2011), to 07786 200416. This code relates to the calendar number, for example residents on calendar A need to text 'browna'.
Please note: there should be no space in between the word and the letter. For example, 'browna' or 'brownj'.
