Request new bins and boxes

Can I have an additional/replacement bin?

New/replacement Bins

Each household is entitled to one blue, brown and green bin.

If your household does not have these bins, or they have been lost or damaged you can request a new bin online (opens in new window).

We aim to deliver replacement bins within 10 working days.

Additional Bins

Blue bin

Households are only allowed one blue bin. The collection rounds are structured for maximum efficiency and are working to their full capacity. Collecting two blue bins from each property would have a significant impact on resources, requiring more vehicles and staff.

If you have too much recycling for your blue bin you can either take it to your local mini recycling sites (finder map) and see what can be taken to each or take it to your local tip.

Brown bin

Only one brown bin will be issued to each household. Any additional garden waste can be home composted or taken to any of the 10 tips in the East Riding. However please do not put food waste in with your garden waste if you take it to the tip. Read more about using your brown bin and kitchen caddy.

Green bin

Only one green bin will be given to each household.

Can I have a black recycling box?

Black boxes previously supplied for transporting glass to mini recycling sites are no longer available. This is due to the new plans for glass being accepted in your blue bin.
