Important Announcement Regarding Planning and Building Control Systems

The planning department has been undertaking a review of the electronic systems it uses to provide the planning and building control service. This review will result in an upgrade to the system and work is due to start on the evening of the 29 July 2015.

Work to upgrade the system will be ongoing for the following week and the new system will launch on the 7 August 2015. Because of the work being carried out during this time, the existing systems will not be available during this time.

What will be affected

The following will be affected by the planned upgrade:

  • Applications already received, validated, entered, scanned, and published onto the current system will remain viewable through Public Access.

  • You will not be able to submit comments via Public Access or Consultee Access during this time. Should you wish to comment during this time you will need to do so by email to beverley.dc@eastriding.gov.uk or letter to Room AG19, County Hall, Beverley, HU17 9BA..

  • Any applications already received but not yet published will not be viewable via Public Access until after 7 August.

  • Any new plans, documents etc. received during this time will, therefore, not be published until 7 August. Consequently, any consultation on these will not be sent until after 7 August which will result in a brief delay in the processing of applications.

  • Any new consultation replies or neighbour letters received during this week will not be published in advance of 7 August, although they will continue to be taken into account in assessing the applications.

This no doubt will cause a delay to some applications and, therefore, we would ask you to bear with us during this upgrade.

Following the upgrade additional functionality for consultees will be available including:

  • Upload document facility when commenting

  • Improved documents interface

  • Online Measuring Tool for plans
