The local land charges team provides the following services:
A Local Authority search is required in connection with the purchase of any land/property within the East Riding of Yorkshire. A search is usually instigated by a client's Solicitor.

As of 31st March 2017 following HMRCs decisions that CON29R and CON29O products submitted to the Local Authority are considered to be subject to VAT at the standard rate of 20%, we will be increasing our fees for the CON29R and CON29O by 20%, the statutory LLC1 Official Search Certificate of Search is unaffected by this change. Our new fees are detailed below:

Domestic dwellings including houses, bungalows and self-contained flats either in residential or holiday use where the vendor is a private individual. Also includes individual building plots for residential properties where the site is either currently vacant or under construction.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is electronically linked to the National Land Information Service (NLIS). LLC1 and CON29 searches can be submitted to Local Land Charges using this service. The NLIS channel providers are:
