The NLPG provides unique identification of all land and property for England and Wales down to street name and number. This is the definitive address database created by the amalgamation of all the local land and property gazetteers from each council. Daily updates are provided by each council to keep the NLPG up to date.
From 1 April 2012 the NLPG will be replaced by the National Address Gazetteer (NAG) which will be composed of spatial addresses supplied by Ordnance Survey, postal addresses provided by Royal Mail and the official addresses from the NLPG.
