What we do for our coastline

What does the council do to protect the East Riding coastline?

We survey and maintain the coastal defences which protect key towns and infrastructure from coastal erosion and coastal flooding.  We also survey the coastline twice a year to monitor coastal erosion and beach levels, and send the results to communities without defences so that residents can prepare for, and adapt to, coastal change.
