Landlord seminars are held twice a year and are informal events that provide a great opportunity for landlords to put questions and ideas to council representatives.

The seminars are open to any landlord or managing agent of residential property in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and include informal presentations by the council and its partner organisations.
The next seminars to be held will include presentations covering the redress scheme; illegal eviction and harassment; the need for carbon monoxide/smoke detectors and energy performance certificates in privately rented property and how the Council intends to engage and enforce on these requirements.
Following the presentations, landlords and lettings agents will have a chance to talk with members of the Council’s private sector housing team.

'Housing Matters' is a newsletter produced twice a year and sent by email to keep private sector landlords up to date with the latest news regarding the private rented housing sector.
The aim of the newsletter is to make landlords aware of the type of support that the council can offer and ensure that they understand what new legislation means for them.
