Learners with specific personal circumstances may be entitled to a concession on their course fees, giving them the course for free. You may be eligible if you meet any of the criteria below:

If the above criteria does not apply to you, there is also a discretionary learner support fund which may be available to help give financial support to you if your household income is less than £21,850 per year. These funds can be used to help with transport to classes, course materials, childcare costs, exam fees, books and equipment.

You can contact the adult learning centre of your choice by telephone, email or in person and someone will be happy to help you make the right choice. If we cannot offer the course you require, we will advise you of other learning providers who may be able to help.
Adult Learning Centres encourage and welcome all residents of the East Riding to participate in every part of their programmes of learning. You may require additional support for example, large computer screens or keyboards, adapted furniture or portable hearing loops. You could be eligible for funding that means that you will get your course for free depending on certain criteria. We offer concessions to learners who are on particular benefits, or who are learning specific qualifications. Advanced learner loans are managed by Student Finance England and can be used to pay for level 3 or level 4 qualifications. Advanced learner loans enable eligible learners to borrow the course fees and pay them back at a later date.
If you are applying or booking on a course with us, it's really important that you have your advanced learner loan processed and agreed with Student Finance England before you start the course. We therefore recommend that you apply for your loan as soon as possible.
