What swimming and leisure centre facilities are available in the East Riding ?

Detailed below are the facilities that are available in all leisure centres. For specific facilities, programmes and opening times please visit our leisure centre finder.

There are 11 facilities:

Beverley

Beverley Leisure Complex is a large facility, with outdoor playing fields and a skate park. Indoors it boasts an impressive eight lane pool, state-of-the-art gym, sports hall and meeting rooms.

Bridlington

Bridlington has two facilities. Leisure World is situated on the seafront and is a great day out for all the family, with a wave pool, two slides and two further pools. It also has a gym with stunning panoramic views of Bridlington Bay. Bridlington Sports Hall has a sports hall, exercise studio, gym and squash courts.

Driffield

Driffield Leisure Centre has two pools, a sports hall and a 50 station gym.

Pocklington

Francis Scaife Sports Centre in Pocklington has a modern gym, sports hall, swimming pool and exercise class room, suitable also for meetings.

Goole

Goole Leisure Centre has a swimming pool with an impressive water slide, function rooms, a sports hall and a newly refurbished gym.

Anlaby

Haltemprice Leisure Centre is one of the larger facilities situated in Anlaby. It has two pools, a recently updated gym, two sports halls, squash courts and a lot more to come and try.

Hornsea, Withernsea, South Cave and Preston

The four other centres have a range of facilities on offer. Hornsea Leisure Centre and Withernsea Pavilion Leisure Centre are both situated in coastal towns. They offer swimming pools, sports halls and gyms.

South Cave Sports Centre is a dryside facility, with a sports hall. South Holderness Sports Centre is located in the village of Preston.  It has a range of facilities including pool, gym and sports hall.

Are there parking facilities at the leisure centre?

Each leisure centre has parking facilities. These vary from site to site as follows:

  • Bridlington Leisure World has a pay and display car park adjacent to the facility.
  • Bridlington Sports Centre has a free car park.
  • Driffield Leisure Centre has a free car park, with an overspill car park in the school grounds when the school is closed.
  • Hornsea Leisure Centre has a pay and display car park.
  • Beverley Leisure Centre has a pay and display car park.
  • Haltemprice Leisure Centre has a free car park.
  • Withernsea Pavilion Leisure Centre has a free car park.
  • Goole Leisure Centre has a free car park.
  • Francis Scaife Sports Centre in Pocklington has a free car park.
  • South Holderness Sports Centre has a free car park.
  • South Cave Sports Centre has a free car park.

What can I do at my local leisure centre?

There are a range of facilities available to use. South Cave Sports Centre and Bridlington Sports Centre are dry facilities. South Holderness Sports Centre and Driffield Leisure Centre are located next to schools who use them. It is advisable to contact them before you visit for access to their pools. How do I become a member of the leisure centre?

For further information on joining one of our memberships, please ask at your local centre, or phone (01482 395223) or email leisure@eastriding.gov.uk. Similiarly, if you wish to cancel a membership, you can contact us using one of the above methods.

Leisure activities must be booked on each leisure centre's website.
