It is free to reserve books, audio books, CDs and DVDs from the library catalogue. You can use the “Quick Search” box or search by:
- Author
- Title
- Key word
- Series
- Subject
- ISBN (International Standard Book Number)
To avoid disappointment, if you have checked the catalogue and plan to visit a library to borrow a title which is on the shelf, please call ahead to make sure that the item is still available. Staff will put it by for you to make sure that no one else picks it up in the interim.

It is free to reserve items which are in stock. You can check what is available on the library catalogue.
If you can not see what you want, you can request that a title is considered for purchase. If you request a publication through the inter library loans system there is a £5 charge.

You can register to receive notification that your item is awaiting collection by either text or email. You will need to sign into your personal account and check the box for your choice of reminder. Please note if you wish to receive a text alert you will need to keep your mobile 'phone switched on, as messages can not be re-sent and will not wait in your inbox. You may prefer to opt for an email reminder if your mobile 'phone is often switched off.
