After you have joined the library online you will be given a temporary library card number. This is the letters 'UNREG' followed by a series of numbers. You must exchange your temporary library card number for a library card within 30 days. You can do this at any East Riding Library.
You will need proof of ID to exchange your temporary library card number. Your proof of ID needs to show your name, address and signature. For example, your driving licence has all three or a current utility bill with your name and address and a bank card with your signature would be accepted.

You can also join the library in person at any East Riding Library but please remember to tell the library staff which library you wish to be registered at.
When you join the library in person you will need proof of ID if you are aged 18 or over. Your proof of ID needs to show your name, address and signature. When you join the library in person you will be given your library card, key fob and PIN immediately.
