During the closure period, items can be renewed by phoning your nearest East Riding Library or Multi Service Centre. Items can also be returned to these locations.

Reminiscence. Third Monday of the month. 2 - 3pm Take a trip down memory lane at your local East Riding Library. Use our great range of memory boxes containing items such as photographs, books and even food packaging to relive the sights and sounds of days gone by. Reminiscence is a social group for older people to meet new friends and have fun sharing stories. Reminiscence is also proven to be beneficial for those living with Dementia and their carers, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s society. Chatterbooks. For children aged 5 - 12. First Tuesday of the month. 4 - 4.45pm Join in our popular reading group for primary school children, to talk about what you are reading, take part in fun activities inspired by the best children's books, and choose new books to take home and read. Did you know, children who read for enjoyment do better at school? No need to book, just come along.
Adult Book Club. Fourth Tuesday of the month. 5.30 - 6.15pm Reading can reduce stress by 68% and risk of dementia by 35%. Broaden your horizons, meet like-minded people and explore the fascinating world of literature. Suitable for all adults and ability levels, no need to book just come along.
Bounce and Rhyme. For pre-school children. 10.30 - 11.00am Experts have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best at reading and spelling in their class by the time they are in Year 3. Enjoy sharing songs and rhymes with your pre-school children in a group setting, and help increase their language concentration and listening skills in these fun sessions. No need to book, just come along.

Parking - there is free parking opposite the library on West Garth, and behind the library opposite the bus station, including two disabled parking spaces.
