Bounce and Rhyme sessions for toddlers. Term time only. 10 - 11am
Experts have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best at reading and spelling in their class by the time they are in Year 3. Enjoy sharing songs and rhymes with your pre-school children in a group setting, and help increase their language concentration and listening skills in these fun sessions.
Knit and Natter. 10.30 - 11.30am
Everyone is welcome from experienced knitters to beginners. Library knitting groups offer improved health and wellbeing and a lively group of new friends for all ages and abilities. Did you know knitting has therapeutic qualities similar to meditation? Research shows it can help prevent and manage stress and pain.
Reminiscence. Fourth Wednesday of every month. 10.30 - 11.30am
Take a trip down memory lane at your local East Riding Library. Use our great range of memory boxes containing items such as photographs, books and even food packaging to relive the sights and sounds of days gone by. Reminiscence is a social group for older people to meet new friends and have fun sharing stories. Reminiscence is also proven to be beneficial for those living with Dementia and their carers, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s society.
Chatterbooks. For children aged 8 to 11. Monthly. 3.45 - 4.45pm
Join in our popular reading group for primary school children, to talk about what you are reading, take part in fun activities inspired by the best children's books, and choose new books to take home and read. Writers Group. First Thursday of the month. 10am - 12noon
Share your love of writing with other creative people, and take steps to get your work to print. From short stories, poetry, book reviews, magazine articles, there’s a writing experience to suit everyone. Expressive writing has been linked with improved mood and well-being, as well as more physical benefits such as lower blood pressure.

By bus - Bridlington Library is a five minute walk from the bus station.
By train - Bridlington railway station is on the line from Hull to Scarborough. The station is a ten minute walk away.
Parking - There are six short stay parking bays behind the library on Queen Street, plus two disabled parking bays. Long and short stay public car parking is available at the nearby harbour.
Public toilets with street level access are located at the rear of the library on Queen Street.
