Wednesdays

Bounce and Rhyme. For pre-school children. 9.30 - 10am and 11 - 11.30am
Experts have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best at reading and spelling in their class by the time they are in Year 3. Enjoy sharing songs and rhymes with your pre-school children in a group setting, and help increase their language concentration and listening skills in these fun sessions. No need to book, just come along.

Thursdays

Reminiscence. First Thursday of the month. 2 - 3pm
Take a trip down memory lane at your local East Riding Library. Use our great range of memory boxes containing items such as photographs, books and even food packaging to relive the sights and sounds of days gone by. Reminiscence is a social group for older people to meet new friends and have fun sharing stories. Reminiscence is also proven to be beneficial for those living with Dementia and their carers, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s society. 

Adult Book Club. First Thursday of the month. 5.15 - 6.15pm.
Reading can reduce stress by 68% and risk of dementia by 35%. Broaden your horizons, meet likeminded people and explore the fascinating world of literature. Suitable for all adults and ability levels, no need to book just come along.

Parking - there is a free car park behind the library and two disabled parking spaces to the front of the library.
