Libraries are closed on bank holidays.
Work has begun on a refurbishment scheme of the Cottingham Library building as part of the Multi Service Centre Programme. The scheme will move the customer service centre into the library building which will also house Registration Services, providing a one-stop-shop and upgrading the building. It is anticipated that work will be completed within ten months.
The library has relocated to temporary accommodation in front of the Civic Hall for the duration of the work and will provide a selection of stock and three public access computers with internet, printing and scanning facilities.
It's free to join the library for all ages; free to borrow books, audio books, DVDs and CDs, free to request items in the Online Library Catalogue.

Cottingham Library is situated just off The Green, next to the Customer Service Centre and behind the Council Offices.
By bus - the library is a one minute walk from the bus stop on The Green.
By train - Cottingham railway station is a ten minute walk away.
Parking - there is short stay parking on The Green except for market days (Thursdays), and all day parking on Kingtree Car Park off King Street. There are disabled parking bays on The Green.
