Many of the independent museums in the East Riding are partners of East Riding museums service, with a museum development officer offering advice and support.

What does the museum development officer do?

The museum development officer (MDO) helps independent, not-for-profit museums to improve their management and operations.

As part of the local, regional and national network of museums in the UK, the MDO can help forge partnerships and advise on ways of providing better services to museum visitors.Top of page

North Frodingham Local History Museum

Located in The Heritage Chapel in North Frodingham Cemetery (Townside road, YO25 8LE), this museum is open on Sunday afternoons (2pm-4pm) from April until the end of September and offers collections relating to the domestic, commercial and farming history of the local area. There is also a display showing aspects of Frodingham's development over the centuries. No website is available as yet but more information can be obtained by emailing joybharris@talktalk.net.
