We run a range of activities throughout the summer holiday in a variety of settings as part of the council’s School's Out programme.
Activities include beach sports, fun days on community play parks, archery and much more!

Active Coast is about providing opportunities to get active, be healthy and enjoy life on the East Yorkshire coast. A main feature of Active Coast is the exciting Beach Sports programme which includes a vibrant beach volleyball scene with four semi-permanent Go Spike courts free to use. Why not also join in the weekly coaching sessions which will take place every week in the school holidays. So check out what’s on and hit the beach!

A national programme aimed at providing activities for young people to give them good experiences and steer them away from crime and anti-social behaviour. The programme provides a mixture of open sessions and sessions just for specific targeted groups.

Twilight football is an informal turn-up and play football based initiative, running as part of the Positive Lifestyles programme.
Sessions are available at Bridlington, Goole, Hornsea, Howden and Withernsea.

Our Mobile Skate Park gives young people an opportunity to develop their skateboarding, scooter and rollerblading skills.
The Mobile Skate Park is supervised by Sport, Play and Arts staff helping to keep young people safe whilst providing increased opportunity to stay healthy through increased physical activity and engaged in positive behaviour.
The team successfully deliver Mobile Skate Park sessions in partnership with schools, parish councils and community groups across the East Riding providing a valuable resource for young people in often isolated communities.

The cost of hiring the skate park is dependent on the type of event being run and the group hiring.

Fun and varied sport, fitness and lifestyle activities for females aged 14+. Currently, includes badminton and boxing. We will be listening to all ideas from participants on what to do in the future! The first session is FREE.
The sessions will shortly be run at Bridlington and Goole.
A lot of voluntary sports clubs also offer sessions for young people. These activities can be found using our sports club finder.
Many leisure centres offer a number of sport and play sessions for young people.
