We run a range of activities throughout the summer holiday in a variety of settings as part of the council’s School's Out programme.
Activities include play rangers, beach sports, fun days on community play parks, archery and much more!

A fun, confidence-building physical activity programme aimed at young people who are above their ideal weight. Come and meet our coaches who will encourage you, lead exciting sport and play activities and support you to lead a healthier lifestyle.

A Sport England-funded programme of activities to raise levels of sports participation. The programme provides a mixture of open sessions and sessions just for specific targeted groups.

Twilight football is an informal turn up and play football based initiative, running as part of the Positive Lifestyles programme.
Sessions are available at Bridlington, Goole, Hornsea, Howden and Withernsea.

Mobile Skate Park:
Our Mobile Skate Park gives young people an opportunity to develop their skateboarding, scooter and rollerblading skills.
The Mobile Skate Park is supervised by Sport, Play and Arts staff helping to keep young people safe whilst providing increased opportunity to stay healthy through increased physical activity and engaged in positive behaviour.
The team successfully deliver Mobile Skate Park sessions in partnership with schools, parish councils and community groups across the East Riding providing a valuable resource for young people in often isolated communities.

Us Girls Alive:
Fun and varied sport, fitness and lifestyle activities for females aged 14+. Currently includes badminton and boxing. We will be listening to all ideas from participants on what to do in the future! First session is FREE.
The sessions run at Bridlington and Goole.

Xplorer is a fun family challenge aimed at young people and their parents, grandparents and guardians. It is an outdoor navigational challenge involving a good mix of physical activity and decision making.
Xplorer routes have been established at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Allerthorpe Lakeland Park.
