Information on how you can hire or purchasing a static caravan/holiday home, finding a pitch, what to consider, viewing a caravan and what are site fees.
Enjoy the freedom of self-catering in one of our hire caravans. Our spacious two and three bedroom caravans are fully equipped providing all you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Each caravan has a veranda, picnic table and adjacent parking. Access ramps are available on certain homes, subject to availability.

There are two ways to purchase a caravan or holiday home here at South Cliff Caravan Park:
A list of private sales is currently available in reception.
Once you have agreed a purchase price with the current owner both parties must attend a meeting with site management. Appointments are available 7 days a week at 11am and 2pm (subject to availability). The meeting must be pre-booked by the current owner of the caravan.
At this meeting all relevant paperwork will be completed for you to become the new owner of the caravan and the commission on the sale of the caravan must be paid. Details of what paperwork you will be required to bring with you when you attend the meeting are available from reception. Please expect this to take up-to 1 hour as this also forms part of a welcome meeting
All approved caravan dealers are visible on the South Cliff Caravan Park website.
Upon purchasing a caravan through an approved dealer, the salesperson at the dealership will organise for you to attend a welcome meeting with site management. Appointments are available 7 days a week at 11am and 2pm (subject to availability). The salesperson will inform you of what paperwork you will need to produce before you attend the meeting.
South Cliff Caravan Park is open from 1 March - 30 November (9 months). It is not a residential park therefore you must have proof of residence before purchasing a holiday home. Sub-letting of caravans is not permitted on South Cliff Caravan Park.
Caravans that are for sale privately are already sited on a pitch. If you wish to buy a holiday home through an approved dealer you will need to check that they have a pitch currently available on South Cliff Caravan Park that will accommodate the caravan you wish to purchase. You do not buy the pitch.
There are a number of factors to consider when looking for a suitable pitch. Firstly what size caravan will it accommodate? Is their provision for a veranda and/or a storage box? Is the surrounding area, trees/wildlife suitable to my tastes? Is the pitch south facing so I get the sun? Please ask these questions before purchasing to avoid disappointment
You need to think about questions such as; how many bedrooms do I require and would double glazing/central heating be an asset? How many seasons does the caravan have left before it has to go through the Caravan Safety Inspection process? (this is an ‘MOT’ like process that must be conducted every year after the 15th season).
If you wish to view a caravan that is for sale privately you must contact the owner of the caravan who will arrange with you a suitable viewing time. If the caravan is for sale through an approved dealer you can contact site office who will give you a key to view the caravan.
All pitches have mains facilities, e.g. water, sewage, 15amp electricity supply with individual credit meters; these are read annually and accounted with the following year’s site fees.
