There are a number of premises to choose from in East Riding of Yorkshire you can view our approved venues for naming ceremonies, these range from council buildings, to hotels and stately homes.
It may also be possible, subject to a satisfactory assessment to hold the ceremony in your own home or garden or place that has some special meaning. If the ceremony is to be held outdoors there must be an alternative place indoors to hold the ceremony in bad weather. The following pdf document gives advice on private ceremonies.

A bespoke ceremony is one which is put together with the family and registrar you will discuss how you would like your ceremony and tailor to your needs. A standard ceremony is one which is already organised by the registrar and used if a ceremony is to be arranged quickly and there isn't any time for a meeting. You can book a standard ceremony at short notice.
