Arranging a naming ceremony

Where can we hold a naming ceremony?

There are a number of premises to choose from in East Riding of Yorkshire, these
range from council buildings, to hotels and stately homes. The following pdf document lists the approved premises.

It may also be possible, subject to a satisfactory assessment to hold the ceremony in your own home or garden or place that has some special meaning. If the ceremony is to be held outdoors there must be an alternative place indoors to hold the ceremony in bad weather. The following pdf document gives advice on private ceremonies.

Can we organise a ceremony at short notice?

Not a bespoke (tailor made) ceremony as they take a lot longer to create, but a standard ceremony can be arranged within a few weeks. A bespoke ceremony is one which is put together with the family and registrar you will discuss how you would like your ceremony and tailor to your needs. A standard ceremony is one which is already organised by the registrar and used if a ceremony is to be arranged quickly and there isn't any time for a meeting. You can book a standard ceremony at short notice.

It is always best to plan your ceremony as far in advance as possible and contact us as soon as you can.
