Housing related support is to help you gain or maintain your independence and enable you to carry out day-to-day living tasks yourself. A support worker or warden/scheme manager can give advice, help and support within your own home or a supported living scheme.
If you receive housing benefit and need support to live independently you may be entitled to have your support costs paid by the supporting people grant. If you are not in receipt of housing benefit you still may qualify to have your support cost paid by applying for a Fairer Charging Assessment.
