What benefits are available to me when I join LOOK AHEAD?

When you join LOOK AHEAD there are a whole range of benefits available to you! LOOK AHEAD is for every parent carer for a disabled child in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Benefit Information Guidelines 

FISH Locality Information Officer

A chance to talk to someone about services, help and support in your community. They also arrange workshops and drop in sessions for parent carers on a range of topics.

 

LOOK AHEAD newsletter

Packed full of news and tips to help you help your disabled child. The LOOK AHEAD newsletter is published three times a year.  You are able to access past editions of the LOOK AHEAD newsletter

 

Events and workshops 

In conjunction with ERVIP (East Riding Voices In Partnership), you'll be invited to parent carer events throughout the year. You will also be invited to various workshops run by the FISH locality information officers on topics like sleep and transitions. There is always something going on.

 

LOOK AHEAD bulletins

You'll receive mail-outs about new services, activities and events for you and your child.

 

Passport To Leisure Card

Get 50% off many standard priced East Riding leisure centre activities for anyone over 18years old living with a child/young person registered for LOOK AHEAD. Activities include ad hoc gym sessions, swimming, some exercise classes.

To get a passport to leisure card please call the FISH team with your name and date of birth for anyone who would be eligible and your child or young persons name who's registered for LOOK AHEAD Services.

Shop and Save Card

Exclusive discounts in a variety of outlets in the East Riding of Yorkshire. These include East Riding leisure centre cafes, various restaurants, legal service, mobility shop. Shop and Save cards are restricted to one per household.

To get a Shop and Save card please send a passport style photo, attached to an email to fish@eastriding.gov.uk with your name and the name of the child or young person registered with LOOK AHEAD. Alternatively you can post a photo to FISH, County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 9BA.
