The Volunteen programme is a project run by ERVAS. It aims to help young people aged 11 - 25 in the East Riding of Yorkshire to increase life skills by engaging them in new and enjoyable social activities.
The Volunteen Project enables to reach many young people, such as those in care or with disabilties. The aim is that all young people in the East Riding have the chance to benefit from volunteering. They project works with secondary schools, a wide mixuture of groups from statutory, vountary and private sector. The project helps to increase confidence, self esteem, skills and knowledge. The opportunities are chosen to suit the young persons interest, meet new people and join in new experiences.
