VERSO (Volunteers for European Employment) is a Pan-European knowledge-sharing initiative set up to combat the rising figures of unemployment across the European Union and change negative attitudes sometimes associated with volunteering.
By bringing together different partners from several EU countries, VERSO aims to find new and innovative approaches to help get people into employment through voluntary work.
The VERSO (Volunteers for European Employment)project has public authority representatives from Denmark, Greece, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Hungary, The Netherlands and Bulgaria.
Knowledge Partners include University of Catalonia, Budapest Business School and Inonnia University. The wide range of partners involved ensures that a diverse range of solutions for rising unemployment are found.
Aarhus University in Denmark is the lead partner in the VERSO project.

The VERSO (Volunteers for European Employment) project is currently collaborating with its European partners to research and map out ways to combat unemployment through volunteering. Through several meetings, knowledge about unemployment and initiatives in each region is being shared which will bring us to an effective solution to fit each country by 2014.
