Green Port/Siemens-Gamesa Resident Survey

Name of consultation
Name of consultation
Green Port/Siemens-Gamesa Resident Survey
Brief description
The purpose of the survey is to gather information from individuals that will enable us to investigate whether their current employment status (employed, unemployed or economically inactive [student, carer, retired, long-term sick]) and consequent quality of life has been impacted by the Siemens-Gamesa (formerly Siemens) investment and the activities of the Green Port Hull (GPH) programme, including in the areas of skills development, business support and inward investment. In addition, it is hoped that the survey will capture peoples’ views on the environment/sustainability impacts of the Siemens development as well as whether the Green Port Hull region is on track to achieve its objective of establishing Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire as a ‘world class centre for renewable energy, wealth creation and employment’. The findings of the survey will contribute to an ongoing socio-economic and environmental impact assessment of Green Port Hull's activities, using the Siemens-Gamesa Investment as a Case study.
