East Riding of Yorkshire Council is working in partnership with British Cycling to encourage local people to dust off their bikes and get cycling in their local area. British Cycling will be organising a number of local cycle rides led by trained ride leaders this summer.
To help this happen, British Cycling is running free ride leader training events in Goole on Saturday, 25 and Sunday, 26 February. All ride leaders will have fun, get a recognised qualification and inspire cyclists to get more out of their riding.
British Cycling ride leaders plan, deliver and evaluate rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level children and adults. They receive kit, training, support and payment for delivering the Sky Ride local bike rides.
Those interested are asked to commit to being flexible in their availability on Sundays and some Saturdays in the spring, summer and autumn of 2012 and help on at least four Sky Ride local rides.
The course is filling fast, so apply now to avoid disappointment.
