As part of the programme of highway maintenance works, East Riding of Yorkshire Council propose to carry out improvements at Bessingby Hill, Bridlington.
The four-week programme of works, which is to commence on Monday, 5 March, will consist of resurfacing the existing carriageway, improvements to drainage, renewing ironwork and road markings. The works will be carried out in several phases between Bessingby Road traffic lights and Easton Road junction.
In order to carry out the works safely on Bessingby Hill, a temporary reduced speed limit will be introduced through the works, using a vehicle convey system and traffic controls. The working hours of 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday, will be undertaken by our contractor to maximise productivity during the week.
Access for road users, buses and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times during the road works, however some disruption is unavoidable due to the nature of the works. Road users are advised to use alternative routes if possible.
The works will be carried out by Wright Civil Engineering Ltd on behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
